WELLINGTON, New Zealand — Air Commodore Tony Davies has been was appointed the new Cchief of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. (RNZAF), replacing his predecessor Mike Yardley, who moved to the Ministry of Defence earlier this year.
New Zealand's Defence Minister Gerry Brownlee said Davies would be promoted to Air Vice Marshal at a "formal command appointment ceremony" on April.20.
Davies has served in entered the RNZAF since in 1984 and has served as assistant chief of strategic commitments and engagements, and air component commander at Headquarters Joint Forces NZ.
